WOYWW 167

This week, I am back to scrapping. Even though blogging has been put on the back burner for right now, I am still creating. The summer is being enjoyed so thoroughly, and these last few days with my daughter before college are being savored. But I do have a desk shot to share with you this week.

On the left is a stack of purged papers that need to be given to a new scrapper in my area. The layout is one that I have been working on for two days, but I just don't like it, no matter what I seem to do to it. I think it is because I do not like those papers and I can't seem to find embellishments to go with it. I am going to toss it and try again later. This is not something I really ever do, but this time for my sanity, I think it is best. And the jar of sour raspberry strings that look like they have never been touched, well, that is my second jar full.

And on to a layout that I really am liking right now. This was a fun day and such a fun layout to create. I love working with collage photos.

That is it for this blog post. To see more desks this week, you know what to do. Head on over to the Julia's and join in on the blog hopping fun!

Have a blessed week!

Dani

Love your second layout... and from here, I'm liking the first one too, but I know what it's like when you just can't get something to come out as you want it, so chuck it out, start again and no guiltiness! Enjoy your days with daughter!

don't toss the layout! It caught my eye as soon as I saw the desk. How about a rust colored accent, it will make the greens pop! Happy woyww-Lindsay/frugalcrafter #25

I do get you completely - sometimes you just get entangled in a project and it gets worse and worse. At that point, I just throw it over my shoulder and start again!!
Love your family LO - warm, happy pictures!

You're right to enjoy the time with your daughter Dani, she'll be all grown up soon asking you to babysit her kids before you know it! Lovely LO's.

Your daughter is quite beautiful, it makes me happy to read that you're able to savour the summer time together. Your desk looks really neat considering you"re scrapping..I make a terrible mess. I like the LO that you don't, think it puts the photos in the front where they belong...nice cheerful papers!

Awesome layouts. I have a layout set to publish tonight. I don't do a lot of scrapbooking but have fun with it when I do!! Love your desk with all the fun stuff to look at! Where did you find that roundy round thing holding your sprays? I think the reason we keep doing the photo of the desk each week is cause we have so much fun with the WOYWW group and actually miss it when we don't...or at least I do and I have been doing it over 2 years now! Thanks for commenting on my desk this week! Vickie #38

Gosh everyone's complimenting you on the l/o so it must be fine. I'm not a scrapper myself so don't know if it's good or not so good lol.

You scrapbook layouts are just stunning, and after seeing this weeks desk {for the first time I believe} I had to scroll back for a better pic of your circular spray storage, It's awesome, I also like the little daubers case with the colour chart top.. may have to borrow that idea :)

Yes, sometimes you just have to start all over, don't you?! Your "family fun" layout is beautiful!

I'm glad you are enjoying your summer with your daughter and making the most of it before she leaves the nest!

Thanks for coming by to visit me and for the tip on enclosing the pressed flowers in a bag inside! Have a great week! Darnell #53

I know what you mean about starting over. I hate to do it, but sometimes you just have too. i also sometimes put it aside and revisit it in 1 week to see if I really have to toss it. More times than not, I can make it work.
What is that lovely circle thing you have to the left that looks like you have stickles on it? I love rolly things like that!

Ask your self what don't you like about it. And then make the embellishments to go with the paper. I like both layouts myself. Thanks for stopping by today and for your really nice comments. #22

what a shame all that work and you dont like it. Maybe it is a bit 'heavy' and everything is layed square, maybe you could soften it with a few angles, hope you dont find me saying.
the second LO is lovely

Lovely LO's, yes that was in the plural. The first one is looking fine to me, but then I don't know what you had in mind. It is really frustrating when nothing seems to go 'right' with a creation.
Happy very belated WOYWW!

Hi there Dani, ah so agree with loving the layout with your family day out - and also about the colours of the other one you are struggling with think colurs are everything - have to work or start with different ones..
Thanks so much for popping over and thanks for sharing ~ happy WOYWW! Shaz in Oz. x #64

Hello!

Your workdesk is very organized and tidy - love that! Beautiful pages - that zigzag patterned paper makes great layered flowers - maybe that might work. Wishing you a happy weekend!

Was sure I had commented on here but searching twice through the thumbnails I cannot find my mugshot so I must not have.
Well I like your LO but I know what you mean about you not being happy with it because of the papers. Same happens to me with card making.
Hope you are sorted by now.
