WOYWW - College Bound

Okay, so not much crafty business going on here today, but I did just receive a nice box from Two Peas that I need to get in to. No, today is COLLEGE DAY!!! Yes, I did take pictures of here leaving. Only a few tears in my eyes as I was watching her go, but they were tears of pride, not sadness as in the past years.

And just to share a little craftiness, in compliance with WOYWW, here is the layout I completed last week of her senior pics. She is my free spirited, guitar playing, artist/painter of a child. And I love her so!

Thanks for visiting!

Dani

Aw Dani, I would have photographed it too, and then gone back to bed and blubbed the day long. Its not that I don't want them to be free happy spirits, I just don't wanna let go so soon!!! Beautiful LO, but then with her as a subject,it cannot fail to be.

Oh Dani, I bet this is a bitter/sweet moment for you. Hopefully she's not going to far away and you can visit when she's settled. Love the LO of her, very cool photos.

Oh Dani, a sad/happy day for you - it'd always a wrench to let them go. It's a big step she's taking but she will be fine and, more importantly, she will be back.

It's much easier for you to keep in touch than it was back when my children started making their way in the world. We only had landlines, telegrams and old fashioned handwritten letters - snail mail - to rely on. Today, there are mobile phones, SKYPE, Facebook and Twitter - all much quicker thank goodness.

The layout is a lovely memory of this last year - a montage of beautiful photos.

Oh Dani you brought a tear to my eye too.
My daughter is on the other side of the world and I miss her so much, but let me tell you it's so easy to keep in touch now in this modern world...we talk virtually every day or if not then text and emails do the rest.
That is if your daughter isn't too busy and having a wonderful time...which I'm sure she will.
The layout tells a beautiful story...you must be bursting with pride. You've obviously done a brilliant job! :D

Thanks for sharing and visiting my desk earlier ~ Happy WOYWW to you too ;D

Oh Dani...she is so beautiful and grown up!
I am like you...no tears of sadness...just pride and joy in the adults they have become!

What a beautiful layout, it must be hard to watch her drive away. We are lucky here, we have plenty of universities and my step son catches a bus to Uni, only half an hour away.
They grow up so fast don't they.
Have a great week.

My wife and I moved my oldest into her first apartment in college last weekend. We're very proud of her too, but it still hurts leaving her. That's a great scrapbook page you di of your daughter. Blessings!

This is a beautiful layout. I just dropped my DD off for middle school orientation and I got all teary eyed. I should be a big mess by college. LOL!

Hi Danielle thanks for popping to see me and for your well wishes for Callum. I can see from your layout why you are proud and rightly so. Your daughter is lovely. She will really appreciate the time and care you have taken to capture her journey. Happy WOYWW to you from Helen 22
