Turquoise Place

Over the summer, we took our first vacation in over ten years. It was wonderful! My mom and dad, along with my baby sister and her family also joined us. It was a week of pure bliss. And after this 6 week kitchen remodel, I sure am wishing I could be back there now. Or at least in a hot tub.

I did get a chance to scrap a bit this weekend and these pictures were the ones I was drawn to the most. I think it was because the trip was so relaxing and I could use some relaxing right about now. I can't get to the beach, but scrapping helped do the trick. I wanted to include quite a bit of photos, so I created a collage in Picasa that was 8 x 10. I then kept the rest of the design simple by using my embellishments in clusters and adding my journaling in strips to fill the bottom of the page.

I did get a few more pages started that I will share once the journaling is done. I also pulled supplies to start my December Daily base pages, but I need to decide which papers I will be using first.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a blessed week!

Dani

Great layout...I love the collage idea.
I have been through a house remodel 6 years ago...We did the kitchen and every bathroom.
The counters took so long to arrive...I washed dishes with hot water from an old kettle that we filled from a RV hose we hooked up to an outside spiggot. Sprayed with the hose to rinse them...haha

Finally when they were delayed, i got plywood counters and an old sink and taps put in!

It was the hadrwood flooring dust and the drywall dust that drove me crazy. I washed everything in my house 2 or 3 times after. I would take apart the whole china cabinet. wash everything by hand and do it all again in 2 weeks...uggggh!
I feel badly for you going through all that...but the up side is once it is finished and all the cleaning is finished...It will look great forever!!!
