WOYWW 180/December Daily Prep

Well, my kitchen is now 90% done and I have finally been able to get back to scrapping, just in time for the holidays. I have been missing my weekly snoop investigation of desks over at The Stamping Ground. On my desk today, I am working on getting the supplies pulled to one spot for my December Daily album. I never thought we did enough to justify getting in on this project, but I did my first one last year and was surprised at how much I enjoyed doing it. It really is nice to go back and see the things that we enjoyed during the season.

I have decided to use the Echo Park This & That Christmas collection and mix in some Lily Bee holiday line. I am using a red Sn@p album and a combination of sizes in page protectors. I cut my papers down to match and created journaling cards from the office paper that comes with the album. I mix alphabets from both lines and added some dimensional stickers from Echo Park. I then raided my stash and pulled washi tape, stick pins, twine, buttons, sequins, and yo-yo's that I made to finish off the embellishment selection.

I still have to get together my Christmas stamps and a few ink and paint colors to mist and splatter pages, but this is pretty much it. All collected, put together in one spot, and ready to do some quick late night scrapping, even during the busy holidays.

Are you doing a December album or some other similar project? How do you go about getting those other December projects done?

Thanks for visiting!

Dani

I love how you put your supplies together!
I tried doing a december daily back in 2008 and it ended up just being a "Christmas" album.
So I haven't tried it again.

Such a great idea to collect everything in one place. I've never done a DD, but you have me intrigued. :)

Your prep for DD looks great. I've done them in the past, DD and JYC, but not for the past few years as I found I was including the same things and repeating myself, as well as getting rather stressed about doing it at a time when there was already so much going on.
I am half wondering about a Christmas art journal project this year, but not a daily one...time will tell if I actually do anything.

I have never done one before and have always wanted to.
DH retired a year early to look after me after the surgery...so this Christmas we will even have more time to enjoy Christmas rituals.
If I do the December daily, I am going to steal your idea for organizing everything in one place.

First I have to get through the Christmas cards!

WOW you are definitely organized here! Love all the bright red and green in the papers and embellishments. I have an ATC I made for you for Halloween but can't find your address. Can you send it to me again. Have fun with your Christmas journal. Have a great week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #62

Love seeing that bin with all your supplies so neatly organized! I don't do a December Daily. Keeping things very, very simple this year.
