WOYWW 141

I would like to thank all of you for the super nice comments I have been receiving on my blog lately. I know that you have millions of other things to do on a daily basis, but just the fact that you take the time to visit my little corner of the world, much less comment, means so much to me. Each one of your visits are appreciated more than you know.

I am back at you today with another peek as to what's on my work desk. You can play along by going over to Julia's and finding out what it 's all about. Without further ado, my desk turned into a catch all after yesterday. It is filled with Valentine's day remnants, such as cards and gifts. (I ate all of the candy.)

I am working on card number 6 and a few others that I need for the upcoming week. Why do I start so many at one time? I will never know. I love those pink roses in that metal tin, but they are too bulky to mail. Since I can hand deliver the birthday card that I have started, I am trying to use at least one rose on it. I also have a few paper packs on my desk for the different things I am working on. Again, too much at one time.

Below, is the next card in my 52 card roundup. It is a simple card using a Hero Arts stamp set that I bought last week at 40% off. I love that it is a selection of little banners in different sizes and designs. I chose the Hello There banner, stamped it five times, cut it out and trimmed it to size. I machine stitched the banner together at top of the card and added two tiny bows. An apron border punch and a typed sentiment are all I needed to make this quick card complete.

Card #6
The pinks all do match. I just couldn't get it to show up correctly in the photo.

Happy Humpday!

Dani

I've tried to cut banners before and they require a lot of math. It's wonderful that you found stamps that take the guesswork out of the problem. Happy WOYWW from # 3.

Isn't it a shame that we have to hand deliver so much. I sent a card (tiny) the other day and it cost me 75p because it was an easel one (with no embellishments).
Love your card, look forward to seeing many more.
Don't forget to call in and check out my blog candy - it closes late tonight and I should be drawing tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Neet 29

The extra postage doesn't bother me but the fact they still get squished is sad so I always make "flat" cards when I mail them. Love the stitched banner on your card! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Love those roses but shame about the posting, most of my stuff goes overseas as I'm English but live in America, so I have to be really careful or they stuff me for postage! Christmas kills me, last year was 42 airmail stamps at 98c each and now they've gone up to $1.05!! Very pretty and cute card, gotta love those bargains!

What a fun card, very cheerful. Your desk looks like lots of great things are happening there. I try not to start more than one thing at once but the downside is then I forget things. Maybe it would be better if I had pieces and parts of all the things I need to do at once lying around to remind me. I see pros and cons both ways. Happy crafting!

Angie, that is why I made them in mini size. That way you could eat, what, at least three should equal the size of half of one regular one. Right? lol...

nice projects. I hate when i have to be so conscious of what will easily be mailed... Used to be real easy - you could mail anything, now we have that darn miniscule slot our card has to fit through. Thanks for the peek and for the comments on mine.

Lovely, busy creative desk there, Dani. I adore the card with the bunting on it - really pretty and effective, esp. with the cut border too. Very nice.

Thank you for popping by my blog and leaving a comment. I received some more mirror card in the post today so hopefully will be able to do some more work on the butterflies now! I've also had some more very helpful advice from the cutter forum people, so hoping for better results from now on.
