WOYWW

Well, not much has changed from last week. The desk is cleaner and some modeling paste and color have been added to my journal page. Not sure where I am going with this one yet. If you scroll down one post, you can see my first ever journal page. I guess you can say that I am hooked. I picked up the new Art Journal magazine to look at while I was at the beach. Other than that, all is quite on the home desk front.

Here is a close up of the page so that you can see the texture left by the stencil and paste.

And if you still haven't heard what this desk stuff is all about, hop on over to Julia's, at The Stamping Ground and see what it is all about.

Happy WOYWW! Thanks for visiting!

Dani

I like that everything is at your fingertips when you work.
I am in awe of your journal. I keep meaning to try my hand at a real art journal, but still not yet.

Hi Dani,
those colours in your journal page are lovely, that's something I've never done....and are those piles of patterned tape?

I love what you are doing in your art journal. It is lovely to see how you are achieving different textures with the stencil and paste. I think I will have to get that magazine. It keeps popping up on woyww desks.

Hi Dani
I had no Idea there was an Art Journaling magazine - I'll have to look out for that. I am only a dabbler but it is a nice way to create just exactly what you feel. Its expressive. These pages are looking great - I look forward to the next layer! WOYWW Hugs from Helen 69

Love that bright colour!! I think it's always a load of fun when you just splosh colour on regardless. Kids have the right idea about just going for it and not thinking too much about the creative process.
Loved your journal page from the previous post too :D

How funny - you saw my card was all green too! Most people said "Love Green" but I'm not a huge fan so funny I used it, and funny too that I love your page as well! Do I say "despite the green?" No I don't! Maybe I'm warming to it LOL!

Ooh Dani, you've jumped in with two feet, excellent! Lovely bright colours too, and I love your first finished page. We had a bit of rain last week but it was in the form of a couple of short, sharp thunderstorms, what we really need is a couple of days of good steady rain!!

I love when the possibilities are endless :)
Starting with a "blank" canvas is always a good feeling to me :)
Right now I am doing an "Instagram" mini and trying to be a little free with it. But still not messy enough :)

Well, I STILL haven't started my journal, although i did have a play with some paints! You've made a good start on your journal. Your desk is very creative this week, mine being the same as last week, only with the side that WAS tidy now heaped high and the one that was heaped high, now empty! Thundering and Lightening here! So whizzing round quickly! Might Have to shut down!! Have a great week! Happy WOYWW

Just looked at your previous post and what a stunning first journal page. Haven't touched mine for a few weeks - too much going on - but I need to get back to it.
Keep saying I will treat myself to that Art Journal mag - is it worth buying?
Thanks for visiting yesterday- much appreciated.
